I don't know what the source of that story is, but it sounds ridiculous.

And do you have money for the lights/reflectors, the tripod and/or stedi cam
like device AND the good shotgun Mic? Do you already have the editing
software and computer? A $1000 camera is a joke in it's self and a true
waste of time without the other mentioned add ons.

It was stupid the first time you posted it, and it's stupid now.

Okay, I'll ask a different question.
Do you believe, the majority of the "academy members" heard and
decided to vote "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" for best original song?

It is beyond me how that song could have won. My guess is the "let's show
how enlightened we are by voting for the rap song" vote got it done.

The truth is that Hollywood doesn't really like the folks very much.
They see us as marginal intellects who couldn't possibly understand the
art on display in the pimp song. So they voted for an effort they knew
would displease many Americans. This is called "arrogance."

It is hard to believe that any sane person could think "It's Hard Out
Here For A Pimp" is worthy of an artistic award. I know I "ain't
knowin'," but I'll submit this thing was written in five minutes on a
bar napkin someplace.

However, I will concede that being a pimp is probably more difficult
than it appears. But it isn't nearly as difficult as sitting through
that best movie song of the year.

One of your problems is, you turn to O'Reilly for reading material. I
was baffled by the choice of that song, but I remember the year "Ghost"
won Best Picture. Sometimes these things are just confusing, and not
too much should be read into them. Maybe there is something to that
song you and I don't see. You can't dismiss it just because it's rap
music. I remember the year Woody Allen's "Annie Hall" won Best Picture.
My mother went ballistic. I loved it.

Sure. Essays by Gore Vidal right now. Most of the time, for news, I
watch C-SPAN's Washington Journal, in which the moderator reads all the
major newspapers.

ruining a great board with this CalJam/Pedo crap when no one here cares
about or for you. I'd much rather read a Sully policital rant than this
crap. At least it makes sense. I come on thhis board to read or learn
about Yes, and occasionally the board falls into a debate about things
like Science, religion or politics. WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR CRAP
CONCERT or anything else that has to do with scumbags like you and the
trash you brought along.

STOP this silly talk, mere mortal. I told you just yesterday that I *used*[/quote]
to like Yes, but now we have a startling new intellect and a new
spirituality and the "music of Yes" didn't make it in.

I have a Right to post my opinion just the same way you do. Now step into

No clutter for me at all. I've killfiled everyone that respond(ed) to the
troll, as well as the troll itself, and will continue to do so as we go
along. What decimated the DP ng was partly the annoying wereo-troll, but
mostly the blame lies with those that were completely unable to *not*
respond to it. So for me they're all gone, as well as Chet & Quiffy & a
few
others & a.m.y. is as it was.

No great loss.
