The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you a series of rights over your personal data. At Visualnet we are committed to making it easy to exercise these rights in a simple manner and within the legally established timeframes.
Your rights
-
1
Right of access
You have the right to obtain confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data and, if so, to access it together with information about the purposes of the processing, the categories of data, the recipients and the retention periods.
-
2
Right to rectification
You may request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data concerning you. We strive to keep your data up to date, but if you detect any error, you can let us know at any time.
-
3
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
You may request the deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, when you withdraw consent, or when processing is unlawful. This right may be limited by legal retention obligations (accounting records, NISR 4400 audit trail).
-
4
Right to restriction of processing
You may request that we temporarily suspend the processing of your data while its accuracy is being verified, while an objection is being resolved, or when processing is unlawful but you prefer restriction to erasure.
-
5
Right to data portability
You have the right to receive the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (JSON or CSV), and to transmit it to another controller when processing is based on your consent or a contract.
-
6
Right to object
You may object at any time to the processing of your data when it is based on our legitimate interest, or when data is processed for direct marketing purposes. In the latter case, processing will cease immediately.
-
7
Rights in relation to automated decision-making
You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.
How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, send us a written request including:
- Full name of the applicant.
- Email address of the Visualnet account to which the request relates.
- The specific right you wish to exercise and, where applicable, a description of the data concerned.
- A copy of an identity document (passport or national ID card) to verify your identity.
Complaints to the supervisory authority
If you consider that the processing of your personal data does not comply with the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. As Visualnet is a Spanish company, the lead supervisory authority is the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD):
- Website: www.aepd.es
- Phone: +34 901 100 099
